** If any of these holidays fall on a Saturday, we are closed the Friday before.  If a holiday falls on a Sunday, we are closed the Monday after.

2020 Upcoming Events at LPLC

January 20th- Center closed in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day.

January 28th “15 Year Anniversary”


 February 4th- Anniversary Celebration- join for a breakfast celebration from 7am-9:30am.  Children will enjoy guest readers from the community later in the day.

February 10-14th -Infant/Toddler Conferences

February 17th- Closed for President's Day

February 24-28th “Choose Love Movement Week long Celebration” -Celebrating and
promoting social and emotional learning. Families and staff will participate in “Acts of
Kindness” during this celebration. (More information to come).

March 9-13th-Preschool Assessments sent home during this week.

March 5th- Parent Advisory Board Meeting from 5-6pm. (More information to come)

March 13th- Family Literacy Night (close at 5pm this day) -Bring your family to a night of
fun and good memories! We will be providing a light dinner and will have special guest
readers, including past students of LPLC, reading to our families and arts and crafts to
participate in. We will have a special guest visiting as well!

March 23rd-27th- NAEYC Families /Staff Surveys

March 27th “Nutrition Guest Speaker for Pre-k”-Miss Amy will be coming to visit our
preschoolers to talk about and share healthy foods. (In conjunction with our lesson plan)

April 10th- Closed for Good Friday

April 13th-17th- “Week of the Young Child"-This is an annual event that we look forward to
participating in. This celebration is all about your child (ren) and building relationships
between adults and children. We have planned a special event for each day of the week:

       -Mon: 4/13 “Pajama Day” (Children/Staff can come to school in their pajamas)
       -Tues: 4/14 “Hat Day” (Children/Staff can wear their favorite hat to school)
       -Wed: 4/15 “Super Hero Day” (Children/Staff can dress as their favorite superhero or
create their own superhero for this day)
       -Thurs: 4/16 “Crazy Hair Day” (Children/Staff can go crazy with their hair!!)
       -Fri: 4/17 “Ice Cream Social” (Children only and is held at afternoon snack)

May 4-8th “Teacher Appreciation Week” -This is a special week for all of LPLC’s staff.
Please take some time, during the week, to say “Thanks’ to your child’s teacher for all that
they do. LPLC”s teachers are the best and they care about all of the children in their care!

May 8th- Ladies Luncheon 11:30am to 1pm

May 11-15th Preschool Conferences

May 15th Family Multicultural Night (close at 5pm this day)- Bring your family to a night
of fun and good memories! We will provide drinks. We ask that each family brings a dish
from their heritage/culture to share. We will have some fun activities planned for the kids
to participate in. (More information to come)

May 18-22nd Infant/Toddler Family Conferences

May 21st Parent Advisory Board Meeting from 5-6pm (more information to come)

May 25th- Closed for Memorial Day

May 29th- Preschool Graduates Ball/Dance (6-7:30pm) * All preschool graduates will be
dismissed at 5pm on this date. (More information to come)

June 5th “Preschool Graduation” (early dismissal preschoolers 3pm/ Graduation will
begin at 5:15pm). Graduation will be held at the Maron Hotel located on Mill Plain Road in Danbury

June 19th “Men’s BBQ” 11:30am to 1pm

June 29th “Summer Program Begins”

July 3rd- Closed in observance of Independence Day

August (Dates to be Announced) “Shut down Days” -LPLC will be closed these 3 days to
prepare for the upcoming school year.
